We love Planning, Coordinating and Designing Weddings at the beautiful resorts on the Big Island. We can’t stress enough that choosing the right one is essential!
In this post, we will reveal the Best Big Island Resorts for Weddings.
We have tasted all the food, heard feedback from our clients on their experience, and monitored their budgets and spending. From this, we have chosen the four above as our top picks.
Our top picks for weddings at a resort on Hawaii Island are The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Kona Village Rosewood, The Fairmont Orchid, and The Four Seasons Hualalai. The service, setting, privacy, and food of these timeless resorts is exceptional and in a league of their own.
Having spent a large amount of time at all the resorts on the Big Island and planned many weddings at each, we know which ones are the best.
While there are other beautiful locations, these three just can’t be beat for the overall experience you receive. Atmosphere, food, and friendliness as well as transparency in the wedding planning process and resort fees are essential. We can help you navigate all the details of planning and budgeting for a wedding at a resort as there are many things that require attention to detail.
The Rosewood Kona Village is so unique and luxurious!
The classic and timeless Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is in process of a stunning renovation we can’t wait to see completed very soon!
And, the Fairmont Orchid is such a spectacular budget friendly option.
Let’s not forget the Four Seasons Hualalai, which is still one of the most relaxed luxury resorts we’ve ever visited.
While we appreciate the interior design renovations at the Mauna Lani Auberge, we personally don’t recommend it for weddings.
One factor leading to this is for the wedding shown here, the Coordinator at the Auberge neglected to tell the couple the Resort had a major Culinary Classic Chef event on their wedding weekend/day -or perhaps the bride forgot? Either way, when we asked the bride about it, she was shocked to learn the news! We didn’t think it would be a problem, but on the wedding day, our set up time was delayed by around two hours without notice so they could continue with food service at the Surf Shack Bar and Restaurant directly fronting the wedding reception location.
The equipment vendor, florist and ourselves were all witnesses waiting and stressed together discussing the delay with staff to get the final word that we could start and the resort tables were finally delivered. Luckily, our team was there to pull it altogether in the unexpected shorter set up time! See the beautiful results of our design and planning below:
