A Gorgeous Tropical Bohemian Wedding with a Neutral Color Palette
A gorgeous neutral palette set the scene for this oceanfront elegant wedding we designed at the Mauna Lani Auberge.
We remember doing weddings there when we first started 12 years ago. However, we could see it starting to age as the years went by and were glad to see the Auberge take over. However, it hasn’t lived up to the hype and our clients have been disappointed with the service they receive here complaining about hidden fees and additional unforeseen costs. They also site a lack of privacy as a number one concern as many of their wedding sites have guest rooms looking down on them or are close to the pool or busy beach dotted with orange and blue umbrellas. Finally, noise restrictions tend to be earlier -9pm at this location -due to the many guest rooms that front the site. That means you have to move your party into a generic ballroom -not ideal when you have traveled all the way to Hawaii for a gorgeous, outdoor wedding.
We much prefer the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Rosewood Kona Village and Four Seasons Hualalai for Big Island Resort Venues -all very similarly priced but with better service and wedding options in our experienced opinion. We were surprised to discover the Mauna Lani rivals the pricing of the Rosewood Kona Village, a far more luxurious and private resort recently nominated as one of the best in the world.
You can view another of our events on site here: Mid-Century Tropical Chic Wedding at the Mauna Lani Auberge. You can see the guest rooms around this reception venue well -not photos they typically advertise.
